If you've used our services in the past, you may have noticed that 2014 saw a major website revamp. Out went the grey boxes of white text, multiple menus and the woman in red sitting on a wall. In came a more minimalist approach.

We decided to shake things up because we wanted the user experience to be a better one. We know that when people surf our site, they don't float around, viewing random pages as if it were a lifestyle magazine in a dentist's waiting room; they go straight for the service page that will assist them, followed by the quote page.

This is why we've made our quote page more focussed and user-friendly. We believe it's one of the best in the business. Try it out now!

A number of shipping and relocation companies will require you to fill in a form before you can get a quote. For some reason, they want to know your personal details before proceeding. Plus, if you want to draw up a number of different quotes to see which option is best for you, they may well lock it down and tell you to expect the results of your quote via an email the following day. This just isn't convenient. Seven Seas Worldwide don't require any information or a deposit - we just want to give you a price. After that, it's up to you what you want to do next.

We offer a range of services to help move holiday luggage, excess baggage, household items, furniture and commercial goods and with our freight calculator. You'll be able to find a price that suits you in minutes.

Check out our free online quote engine today and see how we can relieve the stress of moving items around the world.

Collect and Store with Seven Seas Worldwide

13 January 2015

collect and store

Self-storage companies take liberties don't they? 'Hire this small, empty space for a ridiculous amount per month.' At Seven Seas Worldwide, we think it's time to shake up self-storage a little with a viable, more affordable and more convenient alternative for 2015.

It occurred to us last year that our international network of depots could easily be converted to storage units, and with that in mind, we decided to dip our toes into the world of self-storage. The first thing that stood out for us was the fact that no self-storage company (and we mean not a single one) offers the customer transportation.

If you have a lot of furniture and personal belongings to store away, you're going to need transportation, whether that be a people carrier, a van or possibly even a lorry. A little help wouldn't go amiss at this point right? Well you won't get that from the self-storage firms. Getting your stuff to the facility is YOUR problem by all accounts.

That's where we differ from the big names: We've come up with an off-shoot of our very popular MoveCube® and called it a StoreCube™. A StoreCube™ is a container inside a trailer that is brought to your home for loading. Once you've loaded the cube to suit your needs, we'll then take it away to our nearest branch of self-storage units. If you require your boxes to be returned just call to arrange a time and we'll return your items to your door. You'll never have to visit a self-storage facility again. And because we are an international firm, we can offer cheap storage units across the globe.

The StoreCube™ is also on hand for when you want to move abroad but need a place to store your belongings in the interim. So if you're moving from London to Sydney but you're not ready to move into your new place in Oz, Seven Seas Worldwide will put your belongings in storage until the time is right.

We're Here for the Next Chapter

moving abroad

Arriving in the country where you have chosen to spend the rest of your life (or at least a significant portion of it) can bring on a mixture of emotions – excited to be starting anew yet feeling blue about the people and places being left behind. And coupled with this multiplicity of contrasting feelings is a vast list of logistical things you need to do now you’re here. Luckily, Seven Seas Worldwide is here to shoulder the burden.

Moving furniture and personal belongings from one country to another requires a lot of planning and Seven Seas Worldwide can help every step of the way with collection, shipping and delivery, in most cases, door-to-door. But what if your consignment arrives in your destination country and you’re not yet in a position to move it into your new address? Well, Seven Seas Worldwide has got that covered too.

On top of a global relocation network, we also offer storage at a very affordable rate so as soon as they arrive in the destination country and are cleared through customs, we can transport them to our nearest secure storage facility until you’re ready to receive them. We do this via our relatively new invention, the StoreCube™; this is a cube inside a trailer that can collect, store and redeliver according to your needs.

The StoreCube™ is an off-shoot of our hugely popular MoveCube® and is designed to provide a safe and inexpensive alternative to the usual storage companies, none of whom provide a transportation service similar to ours.

Oh and good luck with the next chapter.  Make it a good one.

Emigrating and the Problem of Self-Storage

09 December 2014

moving abroad

Moving overseas is probably one of the biggest decisions of your life and the last thing you want to be weighed down by is the logistics of the whole thing - that's what shipping companies are for. However, there is always the possibility that you might need to put your items in storage before moving them to your chosen destination abroad - and that's something that shipping companies can't help you with...except us. Obviously.

We hit upon the idea that if we're moving people's belongings around the world and placing them in depots before shipping them off, we may as well turn these depots into secure storage facilities. And that's what we've done. Not only that, we now also provide a method of transport that collects all items from your home address so you don't have to cart them to the storage facility yourself. This is something that even self-storage companies don't do.

This method of transport is called a StoreCube™ and it's an off-shoot of our highly successful MoveCube® service. It's the simplest way of moving your stuff into storage and it works like this. First of all, you arrange the move with Seven Seas Worldwide via our frankly brilliant freight calculator. We'll then turn up at a time convenient to you with a StoreCube™, a container inside a trailer that is towed to your address by a Seven Seas Worldwide van. You will then have a few hours to load up the cube with your belongings. Later, we shall return to collect your packed cube and transfer the contents to the nearest Seven Seas Worldwide storage facility, ready to be shipped at an agreed time.

Don't go to a shipping company that will only do half the job - talk to Seven Seas Worldwide about moving, shipping and storage.

How to Move Furniture, Easier

01 December 2014

moving house

Moving home means having to think about a lot of things at the same time. One of those things is 'how do I move my stuff from A to B?' and it's funny how so many people opt for a local man with a van. Now there's nothing wrong with most men with...ven, but there are companies out there who are just as affordable yet offer that extra bit of peace of mind and reliability that you can't really attach to a lone operator.

Seven Seas Worldwide is one of the best options around for furniture removals because we not only operate a trustworthy, international transport network but we also keep the cost low, meaning we're the perfect halfway house between a man with a van and a recognisable but overpriced courier company.

You see, we're keen on being friendly, approachable and personable - similar to a man with a van. We know that with these big couriers, it's difficult to monitor exactly what's going on with your consignment. Many courier companies employ third party agents so once they've picked up your furniture and other household items, their commitment to you is over. They brush their hands and hand things over to someone else for the next leg of the journey. This fragmented way of moving goods is problematic, confusing and, sometimes, disastrous. With Seven Seas Worldwide, you'll be dealing with just one team - Seven Seas Worldwide. We hope that by working with our team and our team only, you'll feel reassured. Plus it helps that we're a nice bunch of people too.

And we also provide a more reassuring method of transporting your furniture - a MoveCube®. A MoveCube® is a container inside a trailer that is brought to your home address. All you need to do is load it with boxes (also provided by us, by the way). This is a safer option to the van because it's essentially a strong box within another strong box and is therefore virtually immune to damage during its journey (providing of course you've done a top packing job!).

So if you've got to shift a set of armchairs, a sofa, a writing desk, a Grandfather clock, a stuffed grizzly bear, whatever it may be, the Seven Seas Worldwide MoveCube® is your ideal solution for furniture removals. Contact a member of the team today or get a quote via our freight calculator and let us be your first choice when it comes to furniture shipping.
