Typhoon Dolphin: no immediate impact anticipated for shipments

Typhoon Dolphin disrupts transport and logistics across eastern China

Typhoon Dolphin, the strongest storm to strike China in 2026, has brought torrential rains, severe flooding, and widespread infrastructure shutdowns across eastern provinces, including Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Jiangsu. With maximum winds reaching 150 km/h (94 mph) at landfall and over a million residents evacuated from affected areas, transportation across the region has come to a near-total standstill. 

The severe weather has forced temporary closures and operational delays across major shipping hubs, particularly in Shanghai and Ningbo. However, because the vast majority of Seven Seas Worldwide's shipments depart from Shenzhen in southern China, our direct operations remain unaffected and on schedule at this time. 

As port operations gradually resume in Shanghai and Ningbo, the resulting vessel backlog and container congestion may eventually spread south to subsequent shipping hubs, including Yantian in Shenzhen. Due to these potential knock-on effects, our team is closely tracking regional shipping schedules and monitoring port activity.
