Preparing your luggage for overseas shipping to Thailand

We ship everything from boxes and bags to guitars and golf clubs to Thailand. Start with an instant free shipping quote, place a booking and pick a suitable date so we can collect your luggage from your home. Before we arrive, please suitably prepare all boxes and bags so we can safely send them to our nearest depot. Please note that the weight limit for each container is 30kg/66lbs for your and our driver's safety. Weigh everything one at a time on bathroom scales. If something is too heavy, split the contents between containers.

We place suitcases inside double-walled cardboard shipping boxes at our nearest Seven Seas Worldwide depot. As a result, your luggage will be protected entirely during its journey to Thailand.

However, avoid unwanted shipping charges by letting us know the dimensions of your suitcases, including wheels and handles.

To accurately measure, follow these three steps:

  1. Stand your suitcase upright.
  2. Measure its height, length and width (depth), including anything that protrudes, like wheels or handles. Our maximum accepted suitcase size is 89cm height, 59cm length, and 49cm width.
  3. We'll place your suitcase inside a bigger box at our depot, but please double-check your measurements to ensure accuracy.

How to prepare sports equipment and musical instruments to ship to Thailand

Are you heading off on an adventure holiday? Thailand is an ideal destination for outdoor sports thanks to its mixed terrain and sunny climate! As well as excess baggage, you can send golf bags, bikes, surfboards, and more. From mountain biking along scenic routes in Chiang Mai to surfing gorgeous blue waves, visitors travel worldwide to Thailand for the pleasure.

As with suitcases and rucksacks, we'll box your sports equipment into specially shaped, chemically strengthened shipping containers at our nearest depot. But please ensure your items are securely prepared before collection. Include original bags or cases and wrap everything in several layers of bubble wrap.

Remember to clean and dry all equipment thoroughly. Failure to do so could result in delays or fines if environmental agencies in Thailand discover any organic matter. Check out our Thai Customs Advice page for more information before packing your baggage shipment.

Send luggage to Thailand with our high-quality shipping boxes

Are your suitcases or rucksacks full, but you have more items to ship? If so, we offer robust cardboard shipping boxes to protect your possessions when shipping to Thailand. Our customers' favourite containers are Large (perfect for sending jackets, hats, and other soft items) and Standard (for books and other solid items). See below for the exact dimensions. Order more shipping boxes than you need, and we'll collect any that remain unused and in brand-new condition for free.

You can use your own boxes and bags if needed. But please avoid laundry bags, plastic crates, used food boxes and bin liners. Such weak containers are liable to break and damage the rest of the items in your shipment.
